Veterinary Technicians
Jennifer is our Head Veterinary Technician and has lived in Monroe since 2002. She attended Gwinnett Technical College and received an Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology in 2001. When asked what she likes about her job she said,” I enjoy the variety of animals with their own unique personalities. I also feel gratified by educating our clients and giving them the tools they need to give their pets the best care possible." Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband and son. She likes running in 5k races, working out at the gym and watching the Dawgs and Falcons play. She even likes yard work and cutting grass at her home! She has a comical pug named Pumpkin and a pesky orange tabby cat named Slim. She is also a supporter of the South Eastern Pug Rescue (www.rescuepug.com) and always attends PugFest!
Jen received early “on the job” training at her previous job and now loves teaching pet owners how to have the healthiest pet possible. She enjoys knitting, crocheting, and bowling. Her pets include a 13 year old chow/sharpei mix, and two newly rescued kitties who are quite challenging!
Liberty and Sookie Liberty grew up in Good Hope, Georgia, surrounded by animals! Her family raised and showed Bernese Mountain Dogs as well as horses. After serving in Korea in the US Army she returned to Georgia where she graduated from DeKalb Tech with an Associate Paralegal degree. She lives on a farm with her husband and step-son as well as a large animal family. They share their farm with 4 horses, 3 dogs, 2 cats and rescued squirrels. She continues to show horses in the GA Federation of Horse Shows.
Hannah and ChooChoo Hannah began working at MVC as part of our animal care support team in 2006. 2011 was a very important for Hannah since she graduated from Gwinnett Tech's Veterinary Technology Program , began employment as a Vet Tech in May,2011 and married in July,2011! She and her husband live in Walnut Grove and share their home with three dogs - Bella (a dachshund ), Vinny (a hound mix) and Choo Choo (a chihuahua mix). Most of Hannah's hobbies are animal related and they include pet sitting, emergency medicine and spending time with her husband and their dogs.Hanna really enjoys taking care of animals and is very interested in furthering her knowledge in cytology, cardiology, emergency medicine, and ultrasonography
Trina and Maddie Trina grew up in Dunwoody, Georgia and attended the University of Georgia, majoring in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Microbiology. She lives in Buford with her husband and daughter. She enjoys reading, movies, knitting and spending time with her family. Her animal family includes 5 furry children-3 dogs and two cats.
Leigh and Axl You may see Leigh working at the front desk, checking your pet's weight, working in the lab or anywhere at the clinic. She began her career at Monroe Veterinary Clinic in 2006 before she left for training in the Air Force Reserve. After working as a flight medic on C130's in the Air Force for 2.5 years, we are happy to have Leigh back with us! Leigh enjoys a wide variety of activities, including gardening, crocheting and spending time with friends and family as well as her 12 year old rescue dog Axl and her two cats Scurvy and Poe. She also enjoys setting up salt water reef tanks. Her favorite fish is the Black Comb Blenny. When you see Leigh, ask her about her newest vocation and hobby.
