Mr. October 2008- Dusty
Porter
My name is Dusty Porter. Just by
looking at me, you might think that I am a city dog who likes to stay in the
house on a pillow but you would be soooo wrong! I am a Country Dog – through
and through! I was born in Memphis, but grew up in North Mississippi before
finding my way to Georgia. I was the only child of a Tennessee duo. My mama
was a blonde toy Pomeranian and my dad was a black Pomeranian named Star
Dust Shadow. My new owner named me after George Straight's character in the
movie “Pure Country”. He knew a country dog when he saw one. He thought that
I would be a good gift for his girl friend. But like the lyrics in a good
country song, the girl moved on, but I stayed with the man. I knew who to
stay with!
Just to let you know how tough I
am – I was hit by a car when I was just two and survived – I can show you
the scars. My favorite food is spaghetti and I really do like to drink beer.
I love to play in water and my favorite ride is on a 4-wheeler with my dad.
I am almost 13 and don't see as well as I used to, but that doesn't
slow me down! I really do like my life as a country dog.
