Mr. November 2008 - Sam
Murphy

My
name is Sam Murphy. I was a lonely kitten with no family or food. I saw a
house that looked like the kind of place I was trying to find. I was looking
for love and food and I found both when I found my new family. They thought
that they might need to find a new family for me, but I did not want another
family. It did not take them long to realize that I fit nicely into their
family!
As
you can tell by my picture, I am rather mischievous and a great pouncer! I
love to watch Jett (the other cat in our family) and pounce on her when she
is not expecting it! It really annoys her and makes me so happy! I don't
have a tail, so it is especially interesting to watch her swishy tail and
slip up behind her and slap it.
You
would not be able to look at me today and know that I
had a really bad accident this summer. My family is not sure
what happened, and of course I can't tell them, but I was badly injured.
Some of my organs were in the wrong places and I had to have surgery. I have spent a lot of time
at the Monroe Vet Clinic and even the University of Georgia Vet School
clinic. My family calls me their "high dollar cat", but they took good care
of me because they love me so much! They know how much I love to play
and climb so I have a three tiered post that is great for climbing. I would
love to go outside and chase critters (I'm a great hunter!), but since my
injury, my mom confines my activities to the great indoors. That's okay with
me because I love to chase my ball around the house. If I get bored, I can
always annoy Jett. I know that I am a very lucky cat to be alive
to enjoy another Thanksgiving with my family. I am a very thankful cat!
