Pet of the Month

Mr February 2012  “Heart” Wiseman

Most of our “Pet of the Month” animals “write” their own stories,
but Heart's story is written by his brother “River”.

Hello – My name is River and I want to introduce you to my big brother “Heart”. I am so proud of my brother Heart and was happy that he was named as February Pet of the Month.  Our mom says that she dreamed of Heart for a long time before he came to live with her. His name was a perfect name for him because he has such a good heart. He is a wonderful friend to me.

He enjoys playing with his crunch and crinkle toy, loves the new kittens we adopted from Monroe Veterinary Clinic and he loves our grand-mommy who takes care of us while our mom is at work.

Wyatt, our newest family member

Heart is the clown at our house and he makes us all very happy.  He is a really a loud barker and snorer!  It is easy to see that Heart loves to play and had a lot of fun in the snow last year!

We are all very worried about Heart and are very sad.  He was recently diagnosed with lymphoma which is a type of cancer.  (Lymphoma is one of the most common cancers in dogs and affects the lymphoid system.  The lymphoid system  protects  the body from bacterial infections and viruses.) Heart has started his chemotherapy and we think that he is very brave.  We are all worried about him, but the doctors and staff of Monroe Veterinary Clinic have always taken good care of us and we will hope for the best.

Heart told our mom that although there will be a time that he has to leave, but he will never really go away- he will always be with us.
