Dr. Angela Cox and Panda
Dr. Cox is a native of Clinton, Mississippi,
and received her veterinary degree from Mississippi State University. She
was employed by the Animal Hospital of Clinton (MS) and North State Animal
and Bird Hospital before coming to Georgia. When asked why she chose to be a
veterinarian, she said, "I have always
wanted to be a veterinarian. When I was little, all of my stuffed animals
had toilet paper bandages when I played “vet clinic.” I enjoyed science and
was thrilled to be accepted into Veterinary School.” Throughout her career,
Dr. Cox has worked with small animals, pocket pets, pet birds and wildlife.
Dr. Cox has a special interest in dermatology. She also enjoys the day to
day interaction with the animals and the people who love them. “I get to
meet so many people and their pets. I enjoy the challenge of diagnosing a
problem and the thrill of treating a sick patient and seeing that patient
get better. I really love the fact that my job is never boring!" Dr.
Cox and her husband share their home with three children, a sheltie and
three cats. They are active in their local church and its youth activities.
Dr. Cox also enjoys crafts and art and combines her love of animals with her
artistic talents by creating pet portraits in colored pencil. |
